    Steam Launching Movie Rental

Valve has stuck a film deal with Lionsgate to make film rentals available on Steam. Can't say I have looked at what will be available but I can imagine a cinema mode for Vive would be awesome (for the few people who can afford one). Gaming platform Steam strikes film deal with Lionsgate -...

    Your ideal game

Far too many to recount :P My favourite recent one was the barbed wire which rather than slowing down players would shoot them across the map like a rail gun.. wheeeee!

    Your ideal game

I like the theory of them but so far I haven't played one which has really got it right. I think basically I want to play a really good Firefly game. Fly about with friends and try to survive against the elements and other players.

    Your ideal game

Well I won't then... but you wouldn't be surprised to know mine would be the one in my signature funnily enough! That aside I would say something probably in space along the lines of Eve Online but in first person. I can imagine boarding ships to loot their cargo.. or controlling a capital ship...

    Most Anticipated Game of 2016

Yes to the Vive. That does look incredible... I wouldn't like to guess the price though! No Man Sky did have me very excited but I'm finding increasingly that I'm preferring shorter format games. Never ending isn't something I time for any more.

    Most Anticipated Game of 2016

It wouldn't be right to completely derail the Best of 2015 thread with speculation.. so what are you all looking forward to most? Or what are you hoping will be revealed this year after just rumours? Most Anticipated for me is almost certainly Mass Effect: Andromeda As for what I'm hoping to...

    Community Update #7

We have enjoyed our winter break and we are now back, hard at work mapping, modelling, coding, animating and the myriad of other things which go on week to week behind the scenes. We aren't quite ready to return to our usual routine of updates but we just couldn't let another week go by without...

    Best Games of 2015

What have been your favourite games of 2015 or the biggest disappointments? I don't think it matters if a game wasn't actually released in 2015 - if you enjoyed it more than newly released games that's also quite interesting 😀

    New Year 2016

We will be returning to our usual routine of development updates very soon but for now we wish everyone a Happy New Year!

    Steam recommendations?

And if you don't mind parting with 30 GBP and using Origin there is always Battlefront.... If you want (very) casual FPS/TPS with Jedi, Sith and X-Wings flying around ;)

    Steam recommendations?

Verdun! - it's a great WW1 shooter. Not very teamwork focused but a lot of fun. A few TWDEVs work on it too. I also quite like Vermintide. Think Left4Dead in Warhammer Universe and melee focused rather than machine guns.

    Community Newsletter #6: Merry Christmas

Well, we said that the 3,000 community member update would be the last of 2015 but we couldn't resist giving you all a little Christmas present... Since we revealed Merville Battery we are sure that you have all been consumed by curiosity. What would the map look like in the winter? We have...

    Community Newsletter #5: 3rd Battalion

Just a few days short of 1 year since the community hit 2,000 members, we have hit THREE THOUSAND members. We love what we do but it is true to say that the support of the community means an awful lot to the whole team, new and old. As we have done the last two times we would like to give each...

    Star Citizen

Well seeing as Star Citizen 2.0 has been released (and it's a fellow CRYENGINE game) it seemed like a good time for this to have it's own thread. Trailer here:

    Thoughts on fallout 4

Perhaps folks can share their preferred ini tweaks? Might be useful to anyone buying the game to know from the start what people have found works :)

    Thoughts on fallout 4

Also Mr Handyman struggles with stairs which is a bit of a flaw when you need his help on the roof of a tall building.

    th_battleaxe - I don't think so... I'll check when I'm back at a PC.

    Thoughts on fallout 4

It did take a bit of getting used to. The whole of society has broken down and apart from a few pockets of "civilised" people I've found the whole world littered with aggressive gangs who attack the player on sight. It's feudal with machine guns.

    Thoughts on fallout 4

Well I've never played any of the Fallout games but I have bought Fallout 4. So I'm coiming to the franchise completely fresh. I'm enjoying it but I wouldn't necessarily say it's a must buy game. Depends what you like. The basic premise is the same as Skyrim. Big open world which you are thrown...
