Some nice and realistic thing for tanks

The drive mechanics, you had to turn up the rpm of the engine, then change gears to move the tank around.

I agree that there should be gears in tanks, at least simplified like in War Thunder. It's vital for coordination between tanks and infantry.

Why I think my suggestion is good is because this game, like any other games have limited player slots. So if you just have 3 tanks it 6-9 player sluts will be taken.

It may be wrong to say that is AI in the way as it is in a game lave Silent Hunter. Means that you almost have full control over the tank as a commander. Your command will just be ½-1 of a second slower that when you click one the mouse.

The are most likely more AI after they eject the tank. and that will give you the chance to see what I linked up to on youtube. The AI crew should not play a bigger role than they are easy targets, and give more FPS player sluts.

By the way. The realism mostnever overrule the gameplay!

There shouldn't be just gears and rpms, also fuel should be a factor. So how is one person going to do that at the same time while engaging one or various enemies? The HUD will be filled with many things...

Its a lot more easier than you think. I am a main tank player after all... switch rpm and reverse gear. while moving turret with mouse and shooting, does that sound hard to you? As for fuel.. I think thats too much where do you refill from? A fuel station?

*Casually rides up a panzer 4 in a fuel station "Hey, full tank please!" Rides off casually like nothing happened*

Until you give effective advantages for multi crew over single person.. theres nothing more to be said here, nor worth debating over.

No need for fuel, the maps aren't large enough; Panzer IVs had a range of around two hundred kilometers. And gears don't need to be on the HUD, I don't think. No need for unnecessary clutter!

Depends on if there will be modeled driver views etc etc :p But i guess sound is part of the solution.

I personally love the way Red Orchestra 1 did their tanks over RO2 due to the interior animation. It takes far longer to design those animations there-fore limits the more types/time for new tanks. If in any of the available slots of the tank (like in RO1) it would be cool to be able to look around more in the tank and so on. Gearing would be cool like off of WW2 online did but may not be needed, a good tanker would be able to stay with infantry without putting it into 1st or 2nd. Many of the new tank games like War Thunder and WoT make the tanks like sports cars. Make it so they seem slow and big. This is the hardest part imho that not many games have really captured very well. I always thought it would be cool for tanks to make more noise (creaking and loud exhaust) and vibrate the ground more when approaching infantry.
