i would hate to get stuck on a fallen down tree or step and not be able to "jump" over it.

Pogo sticks? :D

Also interaction between characters IS POSSIBLE. Warface has it and it is on CryEngine.

We could have a system like Portal 2 coop, soldiers can give each other High 5s and hugs and aww it'll be lovely.

Awesome! xD Even tho that is not what I meant. I was thinking about the assisted climbing and other stuff from Warface.

I had my knee surgery 5 months ago. I tried the dive, with a cheap but heavy airsoft rifle (AK-47) and a small backpack, 3-5 kg. I did a small sprint and then I dived. I felt a bit of concussion, and my gun was all right. It did hurt, but it was 27 times better than getting hit by an MG42.

[h=2]Freedom of movement with physic laws example:[/h]If you running and wan't to go to prone position you are forced to dives ,because inertia of your body doesn't allow you to do normal prone.

That annoys me in other games, where you can run then instantaneously stop and drop to the ground. I'll wager TW will get it right, though :)

Your point being?

Just because baseball is an American sport, doesn't mean every American can slide like Derek Jeter.

that is funny because american grenades during world war 2 were designed to be as big and heavy as a baseball, for "every american boy should know how to throw one" sliding is highly realistic. i don't know what people are on about here. as someone who has been on deployment in Afghanistan. i can tell you first hand that when someone starts shooting at you, and the AK fire is whizzing by. you will do ANYTHING including sprinting, diving. crawling and climbing to not be in the line of fire. i can only imagine it being worse when the fire you are taking is from an MG-42 firing at 1500 RPM. someone here mentioned he would NOT like to see people diving and sliding into the mud. whilst that is exactly what most soldiers have actually seen during the war. or do you think that when the boat ramp opens and machine guns light up. that you are gonna casually walk of to the side. NO! you are going to ****ing jump out of that boat and do anything within your physical and mental capabilities to get somewhere behind cover. i remember on deployment where i saw an ANA soldier dive for cover behind a rock, it was only a few inches or that PKM fire would have ripped him apart. also sliding behind a corner when you suddenly take fire is something VERY normal in combat. even the few videos there are of world war 1 almost all show soldiers running for their lives. and then literally diving head first into trenches. i think most people here are concerned about ABUSE of such a diving/sliding system. but im sure there is someway to get rid of such abuse. like incorporating it into the stamina system.
