Fascinating video siben! Sobering, but fascinating nonetheless. It's almost unreal to think that there are people who fought in that war living today.

Right... some of our politicians came up with the genious idea of demanding land instead of money after the war from the Germans. Can't say I dislike the idea... :pView attachment 1319
Rough translation to English:
"German Money, German signatures, German promises are Worthless
For our flooded polders, destroyed harbors, railways and cities
the Dutch people demand
GERMAN TERRITORY
WITHOUT GERMANS"

Something like this in Slovenia

This is map of Slovenia getting attacked by 2 sides, Italy on the left and German from top

Translate "Slovenians unite and defend ourselves"

German troops observe the bombardment of the Russian-held village of Lyakhovo during Operation Barbarossa, 1941.

Speaking of the eastern front, today, January 18th, marks the day the siege of Leningrad was broken in 1943 during Operation Iskra. At 9:30 AM the 123rd and 372nd Rifle Divisions linked up with the beleaguered city.

Not sure where or when taken, but that's a Pak 36 and it looks like they could be in western Europe, so I'd say this is somewhere in France or the low countries, 1940. They shot up something down the road.
