I don't think there'll be customization, guys, but rather some randomization between character appearances. The devs have already mentioned this. I prefer this over customization, personally.

German soldiers should have diagonal WWI flag on helmet, and some netting on the helmet with mg, and bolt action rifle characters(All nations). Have some sort of squad/ battalion system with which whatever sqaud/battalion you are in it says on the collar/ vest.
