Ani what if there was a record player that survived the bombardment of that particular house and you can hear the recorder playing in that particular destroyed house.
Also what of dead cattle? Difficulty in moving around in the flooded fields of Normandy since Rommel had ordered them to open the dams.
Also tracers of anti air craft guns, distant explosions in the next town and you can hear it all the way here. But destructible environment to a certain extent is needed, so if you throw a grenade in the second floor of a house the explosion should blow open a closed window or the glass off the frames. Also when inside buildings, creaking of the wooden floor, also idk why I have seen pianos outside in the middle of the road in many games, idk why but is that immersive? If so who the heck puts a friggin piano in the middle of the road?
oh and those small wooden fences can be broken in the small towns, that would be great as well!

Yes, and I agree on breakable windows, they need to be breakable by explosions as well as bullets. Immersive sounds are just as if not more important than immersive objects, so small sounds like a radio/record player, birds chirping, creaking wood in a wood-floored house, distant explosions/small arms fire, dogs barking, leaves swaying in the breeze, et cetera are hugely important. Also, when a bullet impacts a surface, the sound made needs to vary depending on the surface; for example, concrete as opposed to water, and dirt as opposed to mud.

A good Immersion would also be some radio tunes with war songs of that time.

Like in Hidden & Dangerous when you assault the Italian airfield in the desert, and there are "regime" songs playng in the backround from a far away radio inside the base.

Yeah, that's the kind of thing we're talking about :)

Heh, I wouldn't mind radio boxes.
After all, I could use it to mask footsteps if I cranked it up.

Anyways, I hope ambient sounds will be made so that it sounds differently outside and inside buildings.

Thing is, immersion is such a broad category that at this point, its mostly irrelevant... however after the devs release a preview video or some such, this thread can be vital in suggesting what was missing, cause right now I get the feeling that we are stating the obvious.

Yeah, once the game releases we can make proper suggestions, because at the moment we have no idea what's in/planned for TW.
