Really, there are two ways of representing scopes. When scoping in Arma 3 for example, your entire screen zooms, where in say PR, just the scope zooms and the rest blurs to simulate the focus of your eyes. The PR system is, of course, more realistic. Will scopes be implemented as such in TW? I hope so! And I'd kill to have drops of rain roll down the scope lens when in the rain :D

What about the possibility of closing 1 eye as you see through the scope or having them both open?
How you think that would look like?
Pressing a key would effect in extending the field of view? I like it.
That could be useful when playing the marksman class or even simple support. Wider FOV would help!

Exactly! Even just holding a button would be good too!

not sure if having that option to "widen your FOV" would be usefull ,realistic and practical for a game.

Personally I find it that I am eather focusing on the image on scope and in fact reducing my FOV and, well focus. Or that I am not focusing on that image at all and paying more attention to my surroundings, and for that I believe letting go of the aiming button would do just finw.

I would say that the way most games handle it (rifle in middle of screen, slight zoom and possibly bluryness in edges) is quite adequate and representative of having both eyes open, while closing your (in most cases left) eye would simply mean shifting the rifle more to the right of the screen and cutting off left edge of it slightly (something that only people with widescreen monitors should see in firstplace).
