Grenade proning.

A small idea but will grenade proning be possible?

By grenade proning I mean if a grenade flies into your trench/room/bunker can you dive onto it? Killing yourself but saving your buddies.

I think it will be possible. Did that several times on different games. And since those are already aging a bit, I see no reason why a state-of-the-art game like Traction Wars shouldn't have this.

When I heard this I thought something different which makes me suggest it here.

Is it possible to design the fragmentation model of grenades so that if your laying prone most of the shrapnel will fly over you? Would be cool if helmets could deflect it too but I understand if thats too tall of an order.

Good suggestion there, Rewhymo!

Interesting concept and one that's highly likely if you think of what it provides; if a nade goes of behind something (concrete obsticle) and shrapnel would be stopped, why shouldn't a body laying on it decrease the chance of said shrapnel to go everywhere else? I can't see why it shouldn't be possible at least.

It's questionable if anyone would even attempt doing that, but it is something unique. I also agree with Maniche.

If there's a grenade around, I've got it covered.

Literally  Anyway, I'd love to have grenade proning. I'd also like to be able to throw grenades back. There are some neat features for grenades - cooking them, throwing them around a corner, among other things - that could be implemented. I can picture half a dozen Brits in a shell hole, a Stielhandgranate drops in, and they all jump onto it xD

When you mean say, "throwing them around a corner" do you know if it is possible to somehow change the grenade's direction mid-air?

No, you misunderstand. So, for example, you go up to a doorway. You hear enemies in the adjacent room. You equip your grenade. In most games, you'd then have to stand right smack in the doorway to be able to chuck the grenade, and chances are, you'll be shot in the process. What I'm referring to would be going up beside the doorway, grenade equipped, then toggling whatever button; this would result in you leaning your arm out and tossing the grenade into the room. Much more realistic, much smaller chance of getting shot.

Ah, I see. That would be a cool feature that would add to the variety of choices you have in the game.
