Paying for game and DLC

Hi all,

Just wanted to give my impression on the trending nature of how much the gaming community hate to pay for DLC or games for that matter. I personally would be happy to send some money to the devs to keep adding content, at least the money could go to to buying them a beer for their hard work. Why do so many feel games as a product should be free, after devs have poured hours into it.

I am following the development of traction wars closely and read so many comments how great it is that the game will be free. Are we really all so tight :) Good WW2 FPS games are rare as hell and I put 100 of hours into them. I am more than happy to help out future development.

I know where you are coming from. I'm willing to pay for good indie games or back them through development (Stronghold Crusader 2 for example) but for us it's not the right path.

We're not a commercial organisation and money would only confuse and spoil the good will and camaraderie the team has built up :)

Like all things, it works for some but not for others.

Well, I don't personally "hate" DLC, it just comes down to what it includes.
A DLC with 5+ maps and 10+ weapons (and many new content) I wouldn't mind unless the game itself offers like 5 maps and $60 pricetag.

Hey if the base game is cheaper and I decide with DLC's what I wanna have, no problem.
But I don't pay for content I consider should already be in game.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry for repost, thought I was posting to ww2 online. Little confused as I'm brand new.

Just wanted to also say how great it was to find this game, absolutely can't wait to play.

Well concerning the topic, where would Traction Wars get the money to be able to fund servers?
