Following last week's update of the Enfield Weapon Preview we are pleased to present something a bit different. A teasing taster of some of the voices being brought to life by recently joined team member [TWCON] ScheifferBates. Firstly though an important disclaimer; this voice acting teaser is based on work-in-progress in-game content which will see changes before release.

Interested in joining the team?
The team is currently looking for lighting and particle artists who have experience in CRYENGINE3. If you have the experience and are interested in being part of our friendly and professional team then please head over to our recruitment page for further details.

Thats awesome, very nice! :) Are you going to release that soundtrack on youtube? It moved me somehow.

That tank almost looked like a Jagdpanther.

So good, I was moved even more by the British voices inside, above all the tank commander at the end, "Bloody good show boys". :D

I hope the next update is infantry gameplay. :)

I cannot imagine what the trailer of the release of TW is going to be... i might die.

Damn fine job Bates, the voices are awesome! Also, how is the tank controlled? Like, is there a driver and a gunner?

Tanks are ingame, but they're not in any way finalized on how they'll be controlled. Once we get to alpha testing we'll be more able to show how tanks will be operated ingame. :)

Thanks all, just remember it's very much a heavy WIP. The infantry voice commands will be a delight to record, hopefully I can squeeze in 'Roast me a kipper' as a battle cry, who knows!

I love the chatter going back and forth which is very realistic however my only question/concern will be our ability to communicate with others on our mics? If this chatter is going back and forth might be tough to hear each other over the chatter? Maybe the chatter is only in campaign mode and not multiplayer? Sorry for all the questions but doesn't hurt to ask....thanks for the new media looks very promising & I agree the atmosphere looks/sounds wonderful!

Understandable concern.

The voices in this video are more or less a demonstration of the voice acting talent, ability and range that our game will have. We want to have SOME voices in tanks and such I imagine (for example, the loader calling out the gun is ready etc.), but it will be less of course to allow for the players to communicate. Same for squads etc.

I personally want detail voices like soldiers grumbling hastily when reloading, verbally reacting to heavy suppression and etc. With Scheiffer, all these things are possible! :D To me, those kinds of things really sells immersion to a new level.

Thank you that makes sense and I love that you guys are focusing on creating in game immersion....much appreciate the clarification.

Cheers!

Expected no less from you big B xD. Glad you are the voice artist in here ;).
I dunno, but it might be better in fact for something like, a chain of dialogues or some such. This might reduce the chatter + that you can select what you want to say, only a suggestion though.
