I know its not a suggestion but would it be at all possible to see a demonstration of the grenade systems the team plans to use?

I ask only because you have amazing weapons demos of the british weapons but no nades. Maybe some german ones too would be awesome.

This would be a good idea if the grenade mechanics have been completed. I believe that a blog post would be best rather than a video because it could describe the blast radius due to fragmentation, impact effects, etc.

I was hoping more to see what mechanics they are going to use. Will they go with the overly simple press g to toss/ press 4 left click to toss, or will they go with a much more varied system that gives more tactical options.

My suggestion was that yes you press 4 but you have three other options.

1)you mouse wheel up and the grenade faces the ground meaning when you throw, your guy will take a few skipped steps and throw it hard to get it as far as possible.
2) you mouse wheel down and the grenade faces the sky meaning when you throw, your guy will simply do an underhand toss. Great for house clearing.
3) while in underhand toss you click your mouse wheel and he will pull the pin and drop the grenade. Allowing you to drop one while on the run or as a trap.

I would STRONGLY suggest this system.

I like your idea, it's really great, and I'd prefer having realistic problems that come with using grenades. However, for people like myself, I am concerned about using the mouse wheel because my mouse wheel does not click, it just goes in circles in a continuous motion.

See ive thought of that too cause sometimes my mouse wheel will roll down or up if it hasnt quite set into its next notch. So maybe a shift+up arrow or ctrl+C,V,B or something along the lines. realistically it would make more sense to have it configurable so players can put there own settings.

My mouse does have 12 keys on its side that i personality macro to all my weapons and stuff

In many FPS games, grenades are one of those things that annoy me due to the lack of ways they can be utilized. In most games you can just cook them, and in some, you can't even do that. Here's how I think you should be able to use grenades in TW.

Pressing the designated grenade button, G perhaps, should equip the grenade, not bring it out and immediately pull the pin on it! So by pressing G, your character takes out a grenade. To throw the grenade, you'd then press LMB. Of course, you should be able to hold LMB and cook the grenade. While cooking the grenade (so holding LMB), you should be able to scroll the mouse wheel up or down to throw overhand or underhand, with overhand giving more power, underhand less so. Scroll up to throw overhand, down to throw underhand. Releasing LMB throws the grenade.

One feature that I thought would be great for grenades is one that would allow you to toss them around corners. So, let's say there are enemies in a house, and you want to get a grenade in there. Normally, you'd have to stand in the doorway to be able to toss one in, meaning there's a good chance you'll be shot in the process. Here's what I'm thinking... when equipped with a grenade while standing next to a corner (in this case, next to an open doorway), throwing the grenade while facing the corner should result in you tossing it underhand around the corner. In this example, you're standing next to the doorway and equip your grenade. You face the doorway and press LMB. This results in you leaning your arm out and tossing the grenade into the room. Would be realistic and very useful.

So pretty much how RO2 does it?

Although I think mmb is underhand, you can also use the Japanese grenades as boobytraps

Funny you should mention that, as the head on the German grenades we'll see in the game - the Stielhandgranate 43s - could be detached from the stick and set up as an anti-personnel mine. I imagine this won't be possible in-game and anti-personnel mines will only be available to German engineers in the form of S-mines, but devs?

I think the demos are from an earlier version, like CryEngine 2 times. A nade demo would be very helpful and awesome.
