Hello TW team,
Looking forward to the release of TW, it's shaping up very nicely. One minor issue I came across in the previews is the use of the Thompson M1A1 SMG by British soldiers involved in the Normandy campaign.
Seen here for example:

As far as I am aware, the British commandos were the only Commonwealth units to be issued Thompsons in the '44-'45 ETO, most of which were the M1928a1 variant not the M1A1.
The M1 Thompson was commonly used by the Commonwealth throughout the Italian campaign, particularly by the 1st Canadian Division. In Normandy, however, the Sten Mk.II was the primary SMG of the Commonwealth. Not really a big deal if this isn't changed for gameplay or design purposes but it isn't historically accurate.
I also wrote up a class system for the major army units (as well as some important/unique sub-units) involved in Operation Overlord based on numerous references and photographic evidence. Not saying this is how TW should do things but it might be useful for further discussion.
